Measurement & Verification (M&V)
Measurement & Verification, (or M&V) is the process by which the saving of electricity is measured and validated by an energy professional.
Measurement and Verification validates how much energy an Energy Conservation Measure (ECM) has saved, rather than on monetary savings. This reason being the many factors that can influence it, such as energy prices. Energy savings can be confined and assessed.
Several of our engineers and technicians are Certified Measurement and Verification Professionals (CMVP), that will assist with measurement and verification. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com for more information or assistance.
The protocol we adhere to for M&V is the International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol (IPMVP) and this helps with implementing a sturdy M&V process. In order for us to attain high degrees of objectivity we will develop a comprehensive M&V Plan on how the analysis will be conducted before the ECM has even started.
Energy Conservation Measure (ECM)
It’s any kind of project to reduce the energy being consumed in a building. It can be implemented to reduce various utilities like water, electricity and gas.
